OUR HISTORY
Centratech was established in 1992 as a full-service fire extinguisher service shop. At that time, we provided services for portable fire extinguishers, high-pressure hydrostatic testing, high-pressure breathing air, fire suppression systems for restaurants and both N2 and CO2 recharging. Since then we have grown to provide full service, fire and life safety solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in Red Deer, Western Canada and Central Alberta. GROWTH AND DIVERSIFICATION
We recognized the need for a full-service fire and life safety company in central Alberta during our first year of operation. We added services as we grew: SCBA/SABA servicing, gas detection, safety equipment rentals, breathing air, and breathing air compressor services. To further become a one-stop-shop, we added fire alarms, sprinkler systems, backflow testing, emergency lighting, clean agents, total flooding suppression systems, vehicle spray paint booth suppression systems, and off-road and industrial suppression systems. In 2018 Centratech purchased Pyrotec Alarms Inc., and this introduced us into the fire alarm monitoring world and expanded the services we can provide our customers. These additions mean you only need to make one call to have all of your fire and life safety services fulfilled.
FUTURE PLANS
To further become your fire and life safety one-stop-shop, we continually look to add other valuable services to our offerings. We are currently looking at adding security systems and security monitoring for commercial and industrial accounts to our services list to complement our current fire alarm and ULC monitoring capabilities. We are also looking at adding fire pump and hydrant inspection services as we grow.
Centratech will be implementing a new dispatch and customer maintenance software system in 2021. This system will assist us in our scheduling and the software will enable our
scheduling department to interact more with our customers. Once the system is up and running, we will also offer our customers access to their inspection records online through a customer access portal, giving them the freedom to access this information anytime.
CERTIFICATIONS AND INSURANCE
We maintain all of the required certifications (factory, provincial and federal), have a valid certificate of recognition (COR) and are registered with ISNetworld® and Comply Works®. We carry a comprehensive insurance policy of 5,000,000 for both the company and our Centratech fleet.
